As part of our union activities, we participated in the volunteer activity “Iwate Red Carpet Project" and planted camellia trees as a coastal forest on the coast of Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture.

Unlike other plants, camellias have nature to take root deep underground, and were able to withstand the  Tsunami occurred by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
It has become a symbol of Iwate Prefecture's recovery.

One of the reasons we participated in this activity is that we wanted to support those affected by the disaster, and we'd like to continue these activities.
