We participated in the “Hamamatsu Miraikko” program organized by the City of Hamamatsu and held factory tours and workshops for local elementary school students on July 30 and August 19, 2026.
“Hamamatsu Miraikko” is a program run by the City of Hamamatsu that provides elementary and middle school students in the city with opportunities to visit local companies and experience the workplace, with the aim of conveying the appeal of working at local businesses to the children who will lead the next generation.
During the factory tour, we introduced the manufacturing process behind our nibs, and in the workshop, the children had the chance to try their hand at making pens while experiencing capillary forces firsthand.
The participating children shared comments such as, “It was fun to see the ink rise,” and they deepened their understanding of manufacturing while having fun.
This was a valuable opportunity for the children to learn about Teibow’s work and the appeal of manufacturing.
